The DBI Sightsavers Graduation Ceremony was a remarkable event chaired by Mr. Daser David the President/CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute and graced by several distinguished guests. Among the dignitaries in attendance was the Senior Special Assistant on ICT to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Dr. Yusuf Sharada, who represented the Governor. Also present were stakeholders and representatives from both the public and private sectors of Nigeria’s ICT ecosystem, reflecting the collective commitment to inclusive digital empowerment.
At the heart of the event, the CEO of ENGAUSA Global Tech Hub, Engr. Mustapha Habu Ringim, delivered a powerful and inspiring goodwill message, championing the cause of inclusivity and empowerment for all.
At the graduation ceremony of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) Sightsavers Program for Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWD), the CEO of ENGAUSA Global Tech Hub, Engr. Mustapha Habu Ringim, delivered a powerful and inspiring goodwill message, championing the cause of inclusivity and empowerment for all.
In his address, the CEO respectfully referred to PLWDs as “People Living With Special Abilities”, emphasizing that from ENGAUSA’s experience working closely with this community, each individual possesses a unique, often hidden ability that simply needs the right environment to be discovered and nurtured.
He encouraged the graduates by reminding them that every human being struggles with one form of disability or another be it hidden or visible yet society tends to only recognize and label the physical ones. This, he said, must change, as true strength lies in resilience and the will to rise above life’s challenges.
The CEO further highlighted that at ENGAUSA HUB, no form of discrimination exists neither from the staff nor fellow participants. Everyone is treated with equal respect and dignity, regardless of physical, social, or economic barriers. This culture of equity, he noted, is deeply rooted in the organization’s ethos.
He proudly reiterated that ENGAUSA HUB is built on the foundation of inclusivity, guided by its motto: “Breaking Barriers and Bridging Gaps.” According to him, sustainability cannot be achieved without inclusion, and a society’s true progress is measured by how well it accommodates and uplifts its most excluded members.
As part of its ongoing commitment, the CEO announced that ENGAUSA HUB’s doors remain open to all marginalized groups, including PLWDs, Almajiris, school dropouts, and non-English speakers. Through various accessible, affordable, and practical tech training programs, the Hub continues to pioneer efforts in gender inclusion, language inclusion, education inclusion, skills inclusion, and financial inclusion.
He also shed light on ENGAUSA’s platform for corporate social responsibility, the ENGAUSA Skills Development Foundation, which is dedicated to creating sustainable solutions that uplift underserved communities and build a more inclusive digital future.
The CEO concluded with a heartfelt prayer for the graduates’ continued success, expressing his hope that they would go on to become innovators, job creators, and role models for others. He encouraged them to embrace their abilities, keep learning, and lead the change for a more inclusive and empowered society.
