Introduction

In response to an invitation by the management of the Aliko Dangote Ultra-Modern Skills Acquisition Center (ADUMSAC), Kano, I had the privilege of delivering a presentation during the Career and Entrepreneurship Week held on May 21, 2025. The week was organized to mark the end of a 14-week intensive vocational training program and to prepare learners for real-world enterprise engagement.

Audience Overview
The audience comprised nearly 450 learners undergoing National Skills Qualification (NSQ) training across seventeen different trade areas, including but not limited to:

•Dress Making
•Catering and Hospitality
•Cosmetology
•Automechanics
•Electrical Installations
•Plumbing, Tiling, Carpentry, and other vocational trades
The learner population was highly inclusive, consisting of males and females, including school dropouts, Almajiris, and other disadvantaged groups. This diversity reflects the inclusive spirit of ADUMSAC’s approach to sustainable human capital development.

This effort is a significant investment in social welfare and sustainable human capital development, especially for vulnerable and underserved populations in the state.
