Shehu was once an ordinary surface electrical installations craftsman struggling to put food on the table, until he joined the Building Installation training program at ENGAUSA HUB. There, he learned more than just technical skills he learned how to think like a problem solver and an entrepreneur.
It was through this training that his journey began.
Engausa Startup Friday:
One of the most powerful programs at Engausa Hub is the Engausa Startup Friday a weekly event that connects aspiring entrepreneurs with mentors, business coaches, and tech experts. It serves as a platform for graduates of Engausa Hub and students who have successfully completed their training and are ready to launch their own businesses
Shehu’s business idea now known as Dashere Electrical Services was born and shaped during one of these Startup Friday sessions. With guidance from experienced mentors, he developed his business model, refined his vision, and gained the confidence to launch his startup.
More importantly, Engausa didn’t just train him they incubated his business, helping him grow from a student into a CEO.
Thanks to the support he received at Engausa, Shehu was able to train and empower 20 youths in Rano and surrounding areas, providing them with valuable skills in electrical installation, Solar Installations and CCTV Installations. Some of these youths now work with him, while others have started their own small businesses creating a ripple effect of empowerment across the community.
What started as a personal dream turned into a community project and it all began at Engausa Hub.
