In a world where many settle for the limits of what they already know, some individuals choose to stretch those limits and redefine what’s possible. Abubakar Muhammad was one of them.

Abubakar Muhammad’s story is a testament to how ambition, determination, and the right guidance can transform a career. Originally working as an electrician, Abubakar was inspired by a colleague who had expanded his trade into solar installation after training at Engausa Global Tech Hub.
Motivated to grow beyond traditional electrical work, Abubakar enrolled in Engausa’s Digital Building Installation programme, where he mastered Solar Installation, CCTV, Computer Networking, Intercom Systems, and Security Electric Fencing.
Within just five weeks, the hands-on, mother-tongue instruction and access to expert trainers and the right tools equipped him with skills that would redefine his professional path.
When asked how students are able to fully grasp and master such complex skills in just five weeks, he explained:
“The use of the mother tongue for instruction is absolutely key. Some other factors are the competency of the instructors at Engausa Hub, the availability of the required tools, and the hands-on learning experience.”

During a visit by the BBC to Engausa Hub, Abubakar was among the few students interviewed alongside the CEO, Engr. Mustapha Habu Ringim — a moment that reflected how far he had come.
After completing the training, Abubakar went on to establish his company, Amsaz Electricals and Electronics, where he provides both solar and electrical installation services and now employs six people. His journey wasn’t without its turbulence, but fast-forward to today, his company doesn’t only deliver high-quality services; it also trains others in these life-changing skills, continuing the cycle of empowerment that began at Engausa.
At Engausa Global Tech Hub, Abubakar’s story represents what’s possible when curiosity meets opportunity. For over a decade, Engausa has been redefining vocational and technical education in northern Nigeria, teaching in the mother tongue, equipping learners with industry-relevant skills, and turning raw potential into real-world impact.

Like Abubakar, many of our trainees have gone on to build businesses, create jobs, and uplift their communities. And this is only the beginning. The future of innovation, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance in our society will be shaped by those who choose to learn, adapt, and build.
Engausa Hub continues to empower individuals like Abubakar, proving that hands-on learning and skill mastery are the foundation of real success.
